Hello Washington and the Greater Seattle Area!

Hello, I am Travis Noel-Palmer and I have just arrived in the beautiful state of Washington! I am a musician, music educator, and an artist. I teach guitar, piano, and music theory. If you are interested in learning more about music lessons, please see the “Lessons” tab.

My Story

I grew up in Southern California, and have been playing music and performing since I was in middle school. Once I realized that in order to have a career in music I would need to have a more complete understanding of music, I went to Cabrillo Community College in Aptos, California, where I received wonderful instruction in both classical and jazz piano and theory. I then went on to San Jose State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Music, and I just finished a masters degree in Jazz Piano from the University of Nevada, Reno in May of 2024!

Throughout my time in studying in California and Nevada, I have done my best to make a difference in people’s lives through private lessons, which I have found very rewarding and enjoyable.

In Nevada, I played with the Gardnervillains, a four piece jazz quartet, co-started The Carson Street Ragtime Band, a seven piece traditional jazz band, started the Reno Ramblers, another seven piece traditional jazz band, was the musical director of the Reno Video Game Jazz Band, a twelve piece big band that features music from various video games, and performed in many different university ensembles.

While I am new to the Western Washington area, I hope to continue my musical journey and find many more wonderful groups and musicians to perform with. I hope to see you at one of my shows, or please come in for a lesson!
